Totally Shows report positive progress

Monday, August 17, 2009

The 2010 edition of the Totally Shows in their new home at the NEC in Birmingham, is shaping up nicely, says organiser Brintex.

Show sales director Paul Grinsell has commented that 'optimism is returning' to the sectors the shows cover, and interest in the new timing and venue, which will see the shows run alongside Spring Fair International on February 7, 8 and 9, is totally positive!

Akzo Nobel's brands Dulux, Polycell, Cuprinol, Hammerite and International have confirmed their involvement with the show. They return at the same time as Tor Coatings brands Blackfriar Paints, Zinsser and Rust-Oleum. The Stadium Group and The Rug Doctor have also rebooked for 2010.

In Totally Secure, Yale Security Products, Davenport-Burgess and Sentry Safe are the latest to renew their participation, joined by newcomer MDS Incorporated.

Carly Baker, marketing manager, Yale UK confirmed the company's booking saying, "After a successful show in 2009 we are delighted to be returning to the event. With the 2010 show being held centrally at the NEC, we expect to attract DIY and hardware visitors as well as locksmiths from all over the country."

Mark Hawkins, UK sales manager, Sentry Safe UK said, "Sentry Safe is really excited about the 2010 show.  I think locksmith and DIY businesses will want to see new products for 2010 and this is great format for manufacturers to present them."

SMC Corporation has booked its return on a larger stand in the Totally Tools line-up and has been joined by Cannon Tools, back after a one year break from the show, and Merlin Business Software.

Other exhibitors returning to Totally DIY after a break on the back of the NEC move include Barrettine Products, Chain Products, Stax Trade Centres, Select Hardware and S&S Home Supplies.

The British Hardware Federation (BHF) has also confirmed it will be taking part in the 2010 show, and has told organisers it is intending to create its own show pavilion of BHF Direct suppliers for members to meet.

Paul Woolley, commercial director of BHF said, "The relocation of the Totally Shows alongside the Spring Fair with its central geographic location is a really positive move and can only increase footfall. We look forward to welcoming both current and potential members to our stand."

Online visitor registration for the 2010 show is now open and can be accessed via  www.totallydiy.co.uk, www.totallytools.co.uk or  www.totally-secure.net.  For further details on any of the shows call 020 7973 6401.
